Providing The Best Training

Ballet | International Ballet Academy - Greenville, SC

International Ballet Academy (IBA) offers the highest level of classical ballet training for the young student to the professional dancer. All ballet classes are taught using the time honored Russian Vaganova method.

Pre-Ballet, ages 3-6

Weekly classes follow a structured sequence of instruction designed to increase coordination, musicality, stamina and discipline in accordance with age and individual physical development.

Ballet Technique, ages 7 and up

The fundamentals of ballet training include: balance, coordination, vocabulary, flexibility, body awareness, muscle development, strength and how music relates to movement and artistic expression. Inherent to ballet training, corrections are essential; therefore, students are guided verbally and physically by instructors to ensure proper body alignment and body placement.

Variations, ages 11 and up

Typically, variations in ballet have original traditional choreography. These classes are offered to students that are physically and mentally prepared for the challenges of original classical choreography.

Adult Ballet, ages 15 and up

Classes are ideal for beginners, former dancers wanting to return to their passion and those looking to use dance-based fitness as a way to achieve a healthy lifestyle. Morning and evening classes are offered at an individual rate or by a Ten Class Card.
